WORLD WHALE DAY – FEB. 13, 2016

The Maui Whale Festival, presented by Pacific Whale Foundation, raises awareness to protect humpback whales and their ocean habitat through fun and inspiring events. Thank you to everyone who participated in the 2016 World Whale Day and Parade of Whales. The day started with The Parade of Whales on South Kihei to Kalama Park, there were continuous performers from 10AM to 6PM, Made on Maui Fair, Food & Farms to Table – and much more.  This is an event NOT to miss, so plan to attend next year on February 18 for World Whale Day 2017!

These pictures were taken by a regular Shores of Maui guest, Tom, at street level.  They are amazing.  Also check out Tom’s blog – Back Roads Traveller.  Thanks Tom for the GREAT pictures – until next year.  Aloha.
